Lydia Robinson

Creative Director

Lydia Robinson is the Creative Director of Design Storey, leading the studio’s architectural and interior design vision from concept through to completion.

Specialising in interiors, historic buildings and adaptive reuse, Lydia works across listed properties, heritage settings and contemporary rural homes, balancing crafted interventions with a sensitivity to materials and place. With a background spanning both architecture and interior design, she brings an integrated approach to shaping spaces that feel calm, enduring and connected to their surroundings.

Her experience includes the conversion of a Grade I listed Christopher Wren tower into a private home during her time at Boyarsky Murphy Architects in London. Lydia currently leads the studio’s conservation work and has served as a conservation specialist on the jury for the RIBA Awards. Her peer-reviewed paper, ‘The Economics of Heritage’ (Journal of Building Survey, Appraisal & Valuation, 2019), argues that conservation-led design creates economic value rather than simply cost.
